What beauties Evelyn! Love those trailing dorsals. Looks like you will need those cones for sure! Good luck,
Barb
Wow does a year go by fast. It seems like yesterday that I received these little guys.
The one thing that I truly liked about this contest was my fellow challangers. Great group of guys and very supportive. Makes me very proud to be a part of this community.
Thank you Kenny and Forrest for providing us with such beautiful and healthy stock. It was truly an honor to raise them out.
As for the fishies, I was lucky that I didn't have anything go wrong with them. I did do a treatment of parzi pro twice since they have been here. This is something that I do with all of my fish as a preventative. They were in a 35 gal to start off with their QT in and then moved to a 55 after a month of being here, then to a 75 of which they are still in today. I kept up with the daily water changes of 75-100% until I had my health issues then my hubby took over while I rested and recovered. I have changed their water changes to 50% every other day about three months ago, and I am feeding 4-6x's a day. Sticking with the schedule while raising my kids and working nights was hard. I did discover something though....I really love my fish. It never mattered what was going on in my life, I always made time for my fish and enjoyed doing it even if it ment losing out on sleep....something that I don't get much of.
I too am having a problem choosing which fish I will be submitting for judging. It is very hard as they are all great in their own way. So, it will be a last minute decision a toss of the coin between three of them anyways
Well, as my final thoughts...it has been great to be a part of this contest. The most fustrating thing for me has been taking photos. Funny seeing as this contest was for the raising of fish, LOL
Thankyou Al for the opportunity. Thank you to all that have followed my threads and given me feedback. Once again....Thankyou Kenny & Forrest for the great fishies that I got.
So here's my last photos, hope you enjoy them!
I'm going high tech, lol....video added below, I hope this works, lol

Kenny
Wow, they all look great. Definitely a hard choice.
Daniel - If I had a swimming pool, it would probably end up as a fish tank.
Hi Evelyn
I can see why you would have a hard time choosing one of those beauties, they are remarkable.
With everything that has gone on in your life you still managed to to do an outstanding job raising your discus.
The dorsals are awesome, great job.
Take care of yourself,
Bill
Thank you guys (and lady, Barb, lol)
I have enjoyed every minute of raising these guys as well as my other fishies that I have here. My next set is that I want to start up my breeding once again. I have since left my job and now am working part time, so I am hoping that I will have some more time to concentrate on this and be raising out some of their babies soon. I have other things planned for my fish room as well...one step at a time I guess.
Cheers, Evelyn

I really think you did an outstanding job on raising those Discus. They look really healthy and should be interesting to see them pair up and have some babies. Your hard work really shows and good luck with the outcome of the contest.

Outstanding job Evelyn. With all these beautiful fish I would hate to be the judge. Good luck to you in the contest.
