shaking and cleaning tubes

Hi,
i have assumed pair that never spawn before , they fin shaking at each others and cleaning heater and other tube in the tank for a long time now approx for a month with no eggs till now.

They are alone now in 44 gallon tank , wc is 20% day after day with cooler water ,

is this normal or i have to expect that they are both males or both females ??

How do you know it is really a pair? are you sure?

In my modest opinion, there are 2 ways of knowing that you have a pair, first is to see wrigglers, and the second is an DNA test...

Shaking and cleaning could be a sign, how is your water? PH, TDS?

How much are you dropping the tank temp by? Daily changes in temperature could be stressing them out. I had a really nice 'pair' that did that for six or eight months non-stop! They never produced an egg.

Not that sure but they cleaning a tube and the heater together and they shaking thier fins at each others , for the breeding tube they are not fully out but i can see one is thin and the other is some how fat
Can two males clean an area together ???

I stopped to drop the temp and leave it at 82
PH is 7.8
TDS unknown i think TDS not matter now until there is eggs there
