Yes, and depending on where its placed sometimes the humidity from the tank can cause the flakes to become sticky and foul the auto drops. But when kinks are worked out, its fabulous.
got a new autofeeder today the Eheim 39.99 one and was wonder if anybody has the same problem. the problem is that it can't dispense some of the larger flakes, so i have to crush the flakes smaller for it to dispense the flakes.

I think it's the one I have. It seems better designed for pellets than flakes. I have never had a problem with moisture getting into the food.
my auto feeder works great! and all it cost me was a wedding ring three kids a mortgage two cars and sometimes it talks to me but mostly it yells at me says things like you love your fish more than me and knwo you cant buy this or that for your tank
but on the other hand sometimes it does things no other auto feeder can do for me, wink wink ha ha!
So Many Discus, Not Enough Tanks!
Yeah, the same for me, pellets work better than flakes but I have no problem with humidity. I just crush the flakes a little and it works fine.
ok thats good to know, i thought the autofeeder was faulty, but i guess not.
