OMG, what beautiful pictures. My favorites were the second insect, the second spiderweb, and the tomatoes. Do you do this for a living or were you just having fun? I love the out of doors, too.
Couple from outside today playing with the camera. Was a bit overcast at the time.

WOW!...I never saw a fly look so good. Dynamite pics! You got talent. Nat Geo caliber...Bill
Dude, that camera is from another planet! That close-up of the fly is UNREAL!!! Seeing the hairs on the body and coloration. AMAZING!!!
Thanks for sharing Matt!
Eddie
Thanks all. I don't do this for a living, only a hobby for now. I wouldn't mind doing it semi-professionally. I really want to save up for another macro lens...to get even closer! Still need to do some work on some pictures getting published, thats my closest goal...something for Dr Fosters, Thatfishplace, or maybe even TFH.
My dad almost went to work for National Geo back in the 70s, kind of disappointed he didn't would be an amazing job. He did some freelance and semi-professional photography when he was younger....I must of gotten the genes.

The new camera is obviously amazing. However it takes some serious knowledge about photography to take pictures like that!
I never knew a fly could look so pretty...
Keep them coming
Matt, I had no idea that a common fly is so beautiful! Fabulous pictures, please do more!

Yes, our definition changes as the perspective changes (in this case, the zoom). Wonder what our world looks like to them (insects and microbes)
Very nice pics, Matt! I wish I had more time available to pursue photography as a hobby....
Lol thanks Derek.
Thanks Kenny my friend. Only need to sell 10 APD solids at 5-6" and its yours! For anyone looking for a camera i'd recommend at least checking B&H Photo's used section (most people are like, they have a used section?!). Some pretty nice deals pop up on there from time to time, but a lot of times its just the camera body and no lens.
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/buy/SL...8/N/4294182649 Otherwise, B&H is a great place to buy a new one too.
Thanks. Just takes a little time watching the subject, and looking around for a good angle. Same thing with aquarium and fish photography. You have to watch your background and what gets in the shot.
Thanks Barb. Its called a "Long-legged Fly" beyond that I don't know. I will try to do more soon, maybe I can go somewhere other then the backyard to find something.
Would be interesting to see the world through their eyes. Thanks!

Haha, totally blew me away from planet earth, are these just shot and resized, or was some effect added? Haha, your skills of taking photographs is amazing, now mors29 have a competitor haha.
