I would also like to know your camera and flash setup for these particular shots if you don't mind sharing.

I would believe the poster was just sharing, and that more info could be found on the web. I prefer your camera Matt

All I see is Canon EOS 5D Mk II....what I use!
I take the rest to be a Canon 28mm f/1.8 USM lens, and the EF 85mm f/1.8 USM lens.

Great pictures !
Awesome pics. Extremely sharp. The pics with the fry on the parents back are my favorites.

I have just caught up with this post.
That is some of the best fish photography I have ever seen. Absolutely stunning.
The face of a child can say it all, especially the mouth part of the face!
Amazing photos! Thanks for sharing!!

Incredible!! How long did this take?
great pics peter ..the life of the discus is a beautifull thing !!!
Just an awesome set of pictures chronicling the coming of age for a set of great discus fish.
Not only is the photo quality superior, but the shots are wonderfully beautiful and rich in meaning; they really captured the essence of the discus fish.
I cannot help but notice that the physical quality of the young, when fully grown, was superior to the parents. So the genes were all there, but the kids look superior in shape and size to the parents because of the environment.
Wow!
your the man peter great pics , showing the lifecycle of the discus ,you deserve an award or something !!! its really facanating looking at it !!!
