Thanks for all the input. I just tried Prime Reef and it went Great.. they wouldn't hardly touch the colorbits unless it was the first food of the day, but they went straight for this stuff.
Super Beefheart flake and ON reef

We're here for a good time...not a long time..

Some of my fish are addicted to it and would rather have Prime Reef flakes over any other foods I feed.

Can anyone tell me if/where you can buy Ocean Nutrition Prime Reef in large enough volume to make it feasible for breeders to use. Feeding it just once a day, I would go through a LOT of 5 ˝ oz containers. Thanks.
Bob
I was using Tropical D50 Plus. Had great effect on growth. But nomore available in INDIA.
When I checked with ON last year they did not offer Prime Reef in bulk. I do have it in smaller sizes click here for details.
I like Omega One Super Color flakes. You can buy it in bulk.
I also like the Ocean Nutrition Discus flake. I bought some from Dan at the NADA show in Dallas.
It's all good.

INGREDIENTS: Whole Salmon, Halibut, Seafood Mix (Including Krill, Rockfish, & Shrimp), Wheat Flour, Wheat Gluten, Fresh Kelp, Astaxanthin, Lecithin, L-Ascorbyl-2-Phosphate (Source of Vitamin C), Natural and Artificial Colors, Vitamin A Acetate, Vitamin D3 Supplement, Vitamin E Supplement, Vitamin B12 Supplement, Riboflavin, Niacin, Pantothenic Acid, Folic Acid, Biotin, Inositol, Tocopherol (Preservative), Ethoxyquin (Preservative).
I also use Omega One's Super Color Pellets and Veggie Rounds. My plecos tear up the veggie rounds, and my discus pick on them too.
ON is a great brand too, but I find Omega One more readily available at common big name pet stores.
I don't really feed the flakes directly to the discus though. I use them to feed my tetras and use it in my seafood mix.
I use Prime Reef and it's awesome.
Do you need to mix up the flake at all? Like with ON Formula 1, ON Formula 2? Does it matter?
I feed frozen as well for variety...
What about pellet? What's the best pellet food? NLS? Which one?
I stay away from any flakes that the first several ingredients are "meals", wheat, glutens or soy. Not spending my money on garbage and "fillers"...Bill
Eddie, we have had so many foods banned here. I have a koi pond and all the koi foods like Hikari were taken away at the beginning of this year. All I have heard is its due to the type of proteins they use in the foods from Asia. We have just now been able to get a top notch koi food called Dainichi back here again. I know there were lots of other fish and pet foods pulled off the shelves too. I did not know that Prime Reef was one of them though, interesting.
