I have no experience with them, but the product looks nice from here. Polyurethane is definitely inert in water, so no worries there.
Hi all,
Is anyone familiar with the 3-D backgrounds of a company called "Design by Nature"?
http://www.designsbynature.net
The backgrounds look great. But is it true that polyurethane foam has no impact on water quality? Has anyone purchased one of these?
I am interested, but I have found no reviews about this company or its products. Any help is appreciated.

DiscusBR I PM'd ya.
No but when I set up my new tank I am buying one
I love these backgounds and I'm thinking about getting one in the near future. Post up pics if you decide to purchase one........
Looks like it goes inside the tank? Very cool looking.
it does go inside tank and can consume space. It would be best in a deeper tank
Jennie,
Quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten
The slimline ones are only an inch thick, thats not much space.
First post here. Great site!
In July of this year I started a 155 gallon aquarium (focusing on Discus of course!) using a 3D background from AquaTerra. Specifically the Tanganyika Rock wall. I've posted my build over on PlantedTanks.net, but perhaps I can share my experiences over here too since my goal is to have a live planted Discus aquarium and you folks are all about Discus! Right now I have five Discus with assorted tank mates, I hoping to pick up another 3 - 5 in the near future. I would love to get them from Kenny as I live only 2 hours away from him! We'll see.
