Only 5 days feeding the flakes and nothing else. Color is really coming in good! I have to say that I am impressed with the speed in which it took for them to get a nice deep color.
Eddie how much time are you giving this?? are you going to post weekly??

Looking good Eddie. I meant the fish. LOL
Under different lighting, do you notice an orange hue in the colour?
My friend at the LFS gave me a small baggie of NatuRose to try with my cardinals. Unfortunately one of my dogs got to it before I did. (No, she did not turn red LOL).
So I did some reading on it to see if it was worth buying some. WOW. Natural astaxanthin is now all the rage amongst health food nuts (synthetic is not approved for human consumption). I guess it's the old supply and demand thing. If the nuts are willing to drop big $ on a product, the manufacturers are smart to shift production to meet that demand.

Yeah Tim, the fish have an orange hue. They get that color when fed foods to enhance red. I am particularly interested in the red that is in their anal and dorsal fins. I want to get the whole body that color eventually but we'll see. Dad was more brown and mom was full body red.
I like that red one! Do you own those?
