Knircky, no one could answer about the product in OP because I don't think anyone has purchased it. That said, now that you have, would you leave a post about it in the product review section after giving it a whirl?
    I'm interested in it

    Yea for sure.

I should have it Monday and it's supposed to cycle within two weeks. It will prolly take a month to show results. I'm excited anyhow.

I'll have my eye out for this review, as well. I've got 5ppm nitrates coming out of my tap and if this will help at all, I'm willing to give it a go!

Just found this post on another forum for this filter. Looks like it's getting pretty good reviews.

Also found another post about a DIY one. I may have to look into this...

sounds like your overfeeding or your tanks not cycled, discus wont tolarate nitrate over 20 so get a bigger filter and clean your gravel, a great chem filter that cuts nitrate down is purigen or a nitrate canister filled with denitrate with a flow rate of 200ltrs or lower

Who's post are you replying to? I don't recall anyone stating their nitrates are way out of whack. The OP wishes to cut back a bit on WCs, DL65 has an overstocked tank, and I've got nitrates coming out of my tap.

The second part of your post is helpful. Thanks.

Ive had this thing now for two weeks, it's supposed to cycle within 2-8 weeks. I first ran it on a bucket of tank water and it cleared that water after 5 days.
I saw normal cycle after 2 days with lots of no2 and no3 and two days later the water was perfect.

Now it's in my 37g tank and it feels that no3 is less than usual but I still have to change water every other day.

By the way the support is amazing! I bought the biggest version, which is way too big for my tank and they are helping me out very well adjusting.

    I will keep u posted.

Knircky, do you have any other filtration in your tank besides this?

I've researched nitrate filters in the past, as I am a bit of a filtration nerd. Lol! Anyway, the biggest downfall of a nitrate filter is the maintenance + it only removes nitrates.

If you really want top notch water filtration I suggest implementing three systems. These apply to tanks 100 gallons +.

First, an oversized canister filter. This will house your biological media. The bigger the better. I'm in love with the Fluval FX5 and they're not expensive.

Second, a wet/dry system. This system serves two purposes. Degassing and ozone introduction.

Lastly, ozone. Ozone dosing in fresh water works, especially with fish like discus that demand CLEAN water. The O3 breaks organics down by oxidation. You'll see all of you parameters hit zero. Your water will be like glass.

IMHO this is THE most complete form of filtration you can employ. It's not expensive either. Shop around for components. Even if it does cost as much as a nitrate reactor, it will do far more than a nitrate reactor ever could!

    Best wishes!!
