LED lighting creates a shimmer like sunshine in the tank. I don't own LED lighting myself - just wish I did! Maybe someone else has it and would care to comment.

I should add that metal halides will also create that shimmer but they are way too bright for discus.

Now those are really wonderful pictures! I have never seen a tank looking like that with some sun shining in. Just great!
