and thanks for the info!
ok bill, i just fiund out that juvies are really hard to take care of, so do you have any older ones that would be a little easier to take care of?
Not hard. Not sure where that came from. But at this 2 1/2"-3" size...none hardIER!...Bill
oh a couple people told me that... k if that true then ill hust take the 2 1/2"-3" size
Bon243.......I also read that post.....It all depends on how much time and effort you are willing to put in.....It's not harder but it does take a lot of dedication to grow them out.....I have a 120G planted with adults, WC every 2-3 days, fed 1-2x a day........I also have 2 grow out tanks........Daily WC and fed 5-6x a day......I love all my tanks......Just different rountine that's all.
IMO.......I feel it is worth going the process of growing out discus at least once so you can experience the challenges and rewards associated with it. This way you can get a true sense how these fish are raised and the potential pitfalls that comes along with it. Good luck

i cant feed 5-6x a day so cani just get a feeder that you can put in the tank and the discus can eat whenever they want?
Some part yes some not. Yes : if you don't have choice why not? or you could adjust for few times with the feeder and few times when you at home. No : discus need variates food not really suggest with the feeder .
I live near Bill I grab his SS so SUPER
Note: make sure you adjust the amount of food

Back to Discus grin:
heres a idea that might work i use the feeder, but i feed them with a variety of foods 3x every day, would that work?
if you mix between feeder and your own time to feed them should be ok
Henry
Back to Discus grin:
exactly what i was thinking PAR23 except id feed them three times for a total of six
Perfect......They should grow to be like dinner plates.
