Hey Bon...when you stop buy, I'll tell you where to get the worms if you don't want to order them. And, I do not age my water. Straight from my tap into the tank with the SAFE. But that's just me, and that's what works for ME. We seem to be close to each other, so our water should be the same...Bill

Female betta maybe ok?? I also meant 10 gallon, not 20..my bad. Hit Bill up for as much info as possible, since you live close...he can fill you in on all the do's/don'ts! Have fun with new fish and post pics!!!!
    Jennie,

Hey Bon,I've also been doing the water changes straight from the tap and I use amQuel plus and havent had any problems water wise.I live in Naperville but get Chicago water. If Bill is using SAFE,I would also.He knows what he's doing. One thing I do is use a digital themometer on the water to make sure its the same temp. going into the tank.

Also on the betta.I have had one with my discus for about a month with no issues, but I've got a 150gal planted, and the dims are 48x24x30.Lots of room, and the betta hangs out mostly in the upper half.To quote one of Bill's earlier posts,"this is what works for me".Trust me,there was plenty that did'nt work for me.With work,I try to water change arond 20-30 gals when I come home, and around half on the weekends.I know it should be more for juvies, but thier growing. Its a display tank in my family room, not one in a basement with easy access to water and a slop sink.I just thank my wife for her patiance.
