I have been looking for a borg warner t-56 to go in my 86 silverado it crushes th350's, it's on its fith one. to hell with an automatic Iam going manual and will be forcing induction via detroit 671 blower on a 383 stroker!!!! the stroker is built and the blower is being rebuilt(pops is also a mechanic) god knows BDS is proud of theyre stuff!!! on 114 octane it should produce around 1000hp!! @ 5200rpm

We generally don't weed out accounts based on inactivity. Theres been many times when someone has been out of the hobby or away for one reason or another for years and they want to pick up where they left off.....once we delete an account its gone..Period....no way to get it back.

As for accounts where theres been no posts...we have in the past pruned things back as we saw necessary...Usually its at times of major upgrades or server moves.

My honest opinion....Its not something I really worry about in the big picture of running a web forum like this...With all the letter names and number combinations I really don't worry about a shortage of user names, and to tell you the truth, I would actually rather not have a member use the name used by someone else...It makes it confusing for us Dinosaurs that have been here from the beginning.... no need to recycle names... That said, if someone really is heart set on using a particular name thats been inactive forever... I'm open to taking a look at it and seeing if I can accomodate.

I don't know about cleaning house, ect. but I know I see a lot of inane chatter per thread which seems not to lend it self to discus. Maybe there should be a separate heading called "Social Contact or discussion " or whatever. I am totally computer illiterate but I think I can understand how a site can get" overloaded,overwhelmed " with stuff that's not pertinent to the subject.
Anyway my main question was, if you post a question under a specific heading and it changes titles, say the next day, how do you get back to the original heading to see if your question was replied to?

I am one of the dinosaur's to this sight I would think. I appreciate that my name was never cleaned out. I may have 2 names in the system I was originally the discusdaddyslc the SLC for Salt Lake City, UT then circumstance I lost the home/job there in salt lake and with that the fish room . Got out of it for awhile and then once back on the feet came back to the awesome and loyal simply discus site. I could not remember my password or name or any of that, think I even replied to some of my old post's ???
But the name came from the daughter she used to say I was her good fat daddy. When she got older changed it to her discusdaddy.
