38 days unattended ! This should answer everyones question when they ask what to do with their discus when they are going on a simple 7 day vacation.

This may be silly but just a point of reference, we are talking about ADULTS right.......Probably not a good idea to leave JUVIES alone for this long period of time.

I don't think they are wilds, the parents are though (right Eddie?)

That's why Japan has the 'best' water for breeding ha. Yes, it is also important to know your discus too, because not all discus can tolerate this, only tough (meaning healthy) discus can withstand this!

    Hey Eddie,

All the discus look great!! Other than adding minerals...any other "prep" work prior to leaving...such as feeding them more or doing larger water changes before leaving?? Also, how heavily stocked are your tanks?? I am planning a 16 day trip to China in June and wanted to get some advice.

    Thanks, Lester

These are what happens when you don't cover the juvenile tanks. I found these behind two of the tanks.

A couple times 1 or 2 would jump while I was doing wipe downs, but I thought I put them all back! I never expected to see that many!
