Very nice tank!
Thanks for sharing
I just realized that I had not posted any pics up here of my tank as it was setup, after asking all kinds of questions and getting suggestions from John and various other people. Thought I would post up that I caught on to the this addiction and also the wilds movement!
Anyway, after an ordeal with an infection that was pleco specific, I was able to drown my sorrows with these guys, thanks to a couple of friends. Enjoy.
Full tank shot, sorry for the bubbles, I was still running a venturi at this point, which I have since disabled and have just aimed the UV outlet skimming along the surface of the water:
Very nice tank!

I love what the tetras add to it!
Jennie,
Quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten
Thanks. And yes, the tetras make it very interesting. The black neons stay closer to the surface while the rummy nose stay nearer the substrate, forming very distinct shoals. And the discus drive them around the tank, making for a very interesting display. I'll have to put a video up when I have a chance, as I've taken some.
See I don't get it how do you guys keep those planted tanks like yours so clean looking. I really like the tank looks great!!

I have a lot of flow in the tank. Eheim 2078 direct plumb into the tank from the back with locline directing the flow to the surface. Maxijet 400 in the back corner, Hydor Koralia 1 on the front right and JBJ Submariner 13w UV in the left corner. I plan to replace the Maxijet 400 with an HK2 at some point for more surface agitation. I do 3 - 4 water changes a week at 60 - 75%. I have plecos and Corydoras sterbai in the tank which cleans up anything hitting the gravel, and the tetras get most of the stuff in between what the discus don't eat.
I have one tank with substrate and I could clean it every day because there is always poop, food, or whatever laying on top of the substrate. I have discus, cardinal tetras, and cory cats in there. I will be adding 4 more cory cats and several plecos in the next week I guess I will see if that helps some. I have a 92 gallon tank close to your tank size how many tetras, cory cats, and plecos do you have in yours?

I have 60+ tetras in there. And 24 Sterbai. And currently about 10 small Hypancistrus. The thing is that I have that rockwork/plants in the center which hides some of the poop/debris. When I go for a big clean, I'll flush water in there and drive all the poop/debris out. and suck it up with my gravel vac.
Yeah, Gary has finally been bitten by the discus bug. Took a while. But his pleco addiction is much worse.
Daniel - If I had a swimming pool, it would probably end up as a fish tank.
The tetras are probably sufficient, but the cories behave much more naturally if you get a dozen or more. I wouldn't get more plecos as they do add to the bioload, but I just can't help myself, as target indicated below.
I had the chance to get some plecos so I had to get a few. Here is the list I had to choose from.

Managed to get a few fish shot a couple of nights ago....sans air bubbles, since I removed the venturi from the UV.

Love the tank and the wilds. All greens I'm guessing and agree that the tetras do add a nice touch.
I'm fairly new at this, but from the original owners I'm told 2 are blues while 2 are greens. I can never get all of them from the side in the same pic.
