Keith, happy anniversary BTW. Only the seventh picture is showing in your post. Sure are little tiny guys. How old.
They are all over the BBS.
See all the pictures now and love the parent/fry pictures. Big spawn.
Okay Martha you asked for it, pictures of the new batch of fry. And for Pat, the first couple of shots are from your favorite overhead angle. I'm numbering and naming each picture, feel free to suggest alternates.
Oh yea, they went free swimming the afternoon of my anniversary.

Great pics!
Thanks one and all on the fish and anniversary comments. Just keeping the fingers crossed they get well past week 4 with no problems.
Vera, as for the anniversary present, the fish were it. I bought my wife flowers, but it wasn't the best of days otherwise. My tender heart 24 year old step daughter made the trip 45 minutes south with her 19 year old kitty for it's final trip to the vets office. I'm usually fairly ambivalent to cats, but Midnight was a pretty good kitty.

Happy Anniversary Keith, great pictures and good luck with them. Sorry to hear of the cat but it sure lived a very long life! I haven't had a cat live longer than 16. I bet Midnight was a black cat?
Barb
Solid Black, very smart and quite the hunter...too good! Kitty lived in the garage and came and went pretty much as such wanted. Catch squirrels, sparrows, gophers, mice, baby bunnies, and one day a male cardinal. That's the day kitty got a bell. She still caught the occasional gopher, but no more birds. To top it off she had deposited it on the step going into the house we always used. I had the pleasure of finding it.
Just shortly after that kitty was moving a little slow diving under the garage door. The safety eyes were set too high and I just knew she wasn't going to make it and I grabbed the remote, just in time. Kitty was literally stuck. I hit the button again and up it went. I was just thinking, oh yea, how are you ever going to convince Vanessa you didn't kill her cat on purpose for it killing the cardinal. That was definitely one of kitty's nine lives.
Back to fish...if you've seen the pics of my turq parents they have a small spawn of a day + old free swimmers well attached. One of the parents ate like 75% of eggs. Oh well, they'll learn. More pics soon on a new thread I guess. Must be something in the water...oh yea, discus! Hey, I think that's my new tag line.

very cool pictures of your fry and the parents.....love the o/h shots.....great job!!!!!
Keith, sorry to hear about Midnight, extra hug for Vanessa.
Well, on the bright side. Her new pretty serious boyfriend has a strong allergy to cats. I told her I thought it was pretty funny Midnight hung around long enough for Ben to show up. That got a pretty good hug. I heard a good one on t.v. I loved both you and your sister the same, I just liked her a lot more. That's sort of me and Vanessa, out of the three kids. So isn't gladly being able help her out on our anniversary one of the points of me having an anniversary?
Back to fish. Besides the one I think got crushed when I moved them, I've only lost one so far. That's even after forgetting to plug the heater in for about 20 hours. Did a quick WC and no problem.
