Yellow fish/Red food

When you are growing out a yellow fish and feed it red food is the orange that it gains from that permanent?

I have a yellow fish and feeding Tetra Colorbits, red angelplus beefheart flakes,etc like als blackworms. Is any reg pigment it picks up from that only until passes through the system or is it there to stay?

No, once off the red food, they will lose the color.

well I feed my APD will tetra bit she become orange/sunkins and now she in my breeding tank only eat FBW she still orange but I like that color
