Eddie, a question: not to increase temp? On the few occasions I've spotted ich, I've raised the tank temp to 88 degrees for a week. (and of course, also used Quik Cure) Was that heat a pointless exercise?
Don't stress, we'll be here for you, every step of the way.

1250 bb pot-planted: twelve discus (six my babies), cardinal tetras, sidthimunki loaches, angelfish. 35 gallon hex tank: hospital40gallon grow out tank: snakeskin juvies
Heat treatments can sometimes deal with ich but today there are different strains, many are heat, salt and even chemical resistant.
You could try it but I find heat makes things worse sometimes.

I'm not familiar withthat specific product; typically per label dosage will not effect well populated bio. Just check ammonia every 8hrs.
Hi all,
I discovered the source of all my problems: a malfunctioning outlet in my electric extention. Here is what happened. The day before I do my WCs, I fill the container and put an air pump and a heater inside it. The heater is always primed to 82 degrees (same as tank). When I was going to to a WC today I noticed the water was very cold. I put the termometer in and got 76 degrees! It turns out there was a bad connection in the extension and the heater was not turning on. Lesson, never let you routines become bureaucratic. Always check water parameters, temperature, etc.
While I am writing, one of the discus is terribly stressed, swiming fast accross the tank and heating ornamentes, glass, etc. A sad sight...
I will do a WC and then put Protazol in the tank. Wish me luck
PS: Is there something I should do about the stressed fish during WC? Should I separate it in a bucked to preventing him/her from hurting?
If he is stressed as you say then add 1 tbs/10g of aquarium salt. Lowering light or turning them off a while may help also.
Leave him in the tank should be fine, make sure to always add what you take out in wc also. Keep salt at 1tbs/10g and use the meds at half the dose suggested.
No I don't think so try to find some or just leave lights off a while. Or both....
Just did WC. The good news is that stressed fish did not get crazy. And then I put half doze of Protazol (6 ml instead of 12ml). Lights are off. Let's see
