Quick upate: none of the fish got crazy after WC. Some are trying to scratch themselves, but are otherwise calm

Impossible to see dots with lights off. I am supposed to do WC only in 24hs, unless ammonia goes up, right? In that case no need to replenish meds, correct?

Yes, you can use any cooking salt but I wouldn't use any with med you are using unless it's an antibiotic. I'll check on it.

    Use it at full dose.

Thank you, Eddie. Will wait for more instructions/info. The most stressed fish stopped following the others, is quite dark and got crazy twice. I am wondering if I should have used stronger dose, istead of 50 percent. Any thoughts?

No, if the fish are stressed bad, you will want to remove the meds. They will be dark but crashing around is a sign of intoxication. They shouldn't be darting at all unless you are scaring them.

You mean internal intoxication? I was not near tank when fish was darting. Sounds extremely serious...Could you please expand on what might be going on and on what could be done?

Also, most fish are drting a bit. Isn't common of fish with ick to dart/scratch? Do you think the strong darting of the most stressed fish is unralated to ick?

Meds can be toxic to the fish if overdosed or if they are sensitive to that particular chemical. If it's just one fish, it mat be okay but keep an eye on that fish and put it in fresh water if it keeps acting adversely.

Here's a breakdown on all types of intoxications. Malachite Green is a dye. Not sure about the other chemicals in that med you are using.

It is probably just irritating their body but going dark or huddling in corners combined with the darting is something to keep an eye on.

I will monitor the fish. Also, remember it start to dart really strong BEFORE I added the medicine

Then it's related to the parasite. Give them time in meds. Just watch them. It's always important to observe through any treatment.

You can use any table salt, cooking salt, kosher salt. Doesn't matter
