be careful with that, fry tend to go to "dark" spots (the dark cone) it can give you problems to get the fry to attach on your Discus. That's why most cones are between white and light red/orange,

I have a glazed cone from Barb with dark colors on top, mostly green and what I do to avoid that issue is just remove it as soon as the fry go free swimming. If I don't the fry do tend to congregate around it and it complicates things...

Hmmm that's a good point Hans, I wasn't thinking about the fry more where they are spawning but you bring up something I didn't think about before. I guess I better stay with the lighter cones then.

Yes, I can make cones in almost any color. I have all colors of glaze and several colors of clay. But I have indeed heard that the dark colors will make the fry want to go to the cone and not parents. But I guess if you do remove the cone soon as Melissa did then they have no cone to go back to. I am selling more white cones these days than earlier. And thanks for your input Hans!
