Default Tannins in a Discus Tank

The wife and I really like the stained water that the driftwood produced and when it stopped leeching from the wood we recently moved to Almond leaves.

The water looks great and so do the fish!

The challenge we have is I currently have 8 fish (couple more coming from Kenny) in the tank and I have three pairs that are doing the happy dance with two of the pairs dropping eggs. I really don't want to breed and the pairs are very random and would only produce FrankenDiscus!

Are the Tannins in the Almond leaves we are adding to the tanks just Discus Ecstasy?

All this is still going on after moving the fish from the 125 to the 150 after the leaky tank this past Thursday.

That's just Discus for ya. When they want to pair up and spawn there can be no stopping them. Just let them do their thing if you don want to breed. If they are all in a tank together, you won't have to worry about raising babies...
