I stopped feeding live foods a long time ago to avoid any hitchhiking parasites. But to answer your question I feed breeding pairs the same thing I feed all my fish. FDBW and a good flake food (Ocean Nutrition).
Hi
I finished setting up my first breeding tank and i was wondering, what food would be the best for my pair?
I'm ready to try anything what can help them spawn and develop the "fry feeding layer" (i don't know it's proper name in english) on their skin.
I feed them 3 times a day with frozen food, once red mosquito larve, once white mosquito larve and once artemia. I also tried to feed them dry food for a while, but they didn't accept it so i gave up.
Any suggest on changing their diet?

Oh thanks
I feed Black worms, Ocean Nutrition formula pellets and my home made shrimp/beef heart mix. click here for details on Elite's Blend.
I am in the process of working with Live White Worm cultures. I hope to add this food source in about 4-8 weeks.
I feed as much live as I can. Mosquito larvae, red wigglers, and California Backworms. One of these days I need to give the white worms a try.
