Here is a pic of the discus, it is still alive.....I did a W/C about an hour ago of about 90%

They only thing that I can think of is the maybe it slammed into the side of the tank or something.......This really sucks!

sounds like micro bubbles hit it. Should be good in couple of hrs I hope. Try to keep it moving (I'd use a net or your hands to help shake bubbles off). I'm not a expert by any means but I'd at least add salt. Be patient until someone chimes in. Make sure you used prime or somthing similar.

I dont think it was micro bubbles because he was like that this morning prior to the w/c....I just barely did one to see if it would help him out but it didnt.......hmmmm
I have tried to move him around a little bit with the net it swims a little then goes back down to its side............

You might want to seek out Eddie or Jpdevol (pm them) One of them has to be on.

I'll preface this suggestion and tell you Eddie likely will not agree.

For obvious distress my fist recommendation is always to place in a QT tank with a bath of Methelyne Blue @ 3ml per 10 gallons; 1 Tablespoon of Non-iodide Salt per 10gallon & 1 level Teaspoon of Espom Salt per 10 gallon.

Briefly: MB to increase O2 to the cells
    Salt to imrove osmoregulation
ES to increase fluid to the cells.

This is not intended to treat any particular underlying ailment but to stabilize the distressed fish.

Oh okay I have both epsom and non-iodide salt but no Methelyne Blue.....it kind of weird that it just happened all sudden.

If you have a QT available go ahead and dose salts. MB is the critical component in my view, you may want to consider getting some asap; once you get the fish comfy in the QT.

I would have to order it....which would probably take a couple of days....hmmm is there anything else that works similar? Can I just go ahead and dose the salts in the main tank? They only tank that I have at the moment is a 10 gal thank that I can use as a QT......

Yes, 10gal is small for 6.5" fish. Salts are OK in Main tank. MB is not practical in main tank. The only other compound that increases O2 is Hydrogen Peroxide, but it does not accomplish it through the same means as MB and it also kills bio and not good for Main tank.

Just increase mechanical aeration. Are there no LFS close that have MB and a 20H tank?
