What about adding a school of neon or cardinal tetras to a discus tank?

neons arn't going to work with discus temps. Better to go with Cardinals, but i have heard people having their cardinals be expensive snacks. Some people have it work, some don't. So its you to decide. You can get bigger tetras like rummynose.

well you already have 8 discus thats "Stocked" for ur tank. . .. . Unless you have really good filtration then you could probably add a couple fish otherwise you are pretty much stocked. 10 gal per 1 adult discus

Yea - I agree - I just had a couple of discus pair off and was going to move them to 20 gal. breeding tank and thought I would add a small school of tetra's to my 75 gal. for a better display

I have 25 lemon tetras with 8 adult wilds in a 120 gal. too big for the discus and they are always together.
Any thoughts on using Congo Tetras?
