He advised me to use clarity to try and clear it.I used it today put 3 cap fulls I'n as it says on bottle turned my water straight away to a green brown colour 2 hours still not clearing, say on bottle 1 to 2 hours to clear just wanted to know anyone used it before and how long did it take I'n your tank ?

i wonder if your tank is still cycling..
just having a tank with water running.. does not mean is cycling..
you need ammonia to start cycle of the tank.. which would start when fish are added and the bioload increases..
what is the LFS testing for?!
do you have substrate? Wood or other things in tank? besides fish and water

Re: Any one used clarity before
They tested it for all sorts told me my filter is mature now by all there reading I said to them about the White cloud ness and they told me they don't know what it is as after 7 weeks running should not be a bacterial bloom. I'n the tank is wood plants and dark stones. This clarity I'm using just read there web site it should even clear up a bacterial bloom if anything made it bloody worse. So confussed now. I want it sorted ASAP as got some discus waiting for me and I ain't putting them I'n till it's perfect and clear

In my experience the additives like Clarity are a waste of money. You need to fix the problem that's causing the cloudyness, not just clear up the water.
In a new tank the most likely reason for cloudyness is that the filter is not fully cycled. Sometimes the kids they hire at lfs's don't know what they are talking about.
Ask them to test for ammonia and nitrite specificly, don't worry about anything else for now, and watch while they do it. Better yet, learn to do these tests for yourself and what they mean. You'll need to start reading up on these things if you're going to be successful with discus anyways. Let us know what the results of the tests are and in the mean time start doing daily wc's.
Do you have the tank in front of a window or where it gets direct sunlight? Is all the food being eaten? Make sure you're not over feeding.
