    Default Red Wiggler Worm Prep

    Freshly harvested

Worm sizes, smallest is about 3/4 inch.

Washed and each tank gets they own cup. I swirl with water in a cap and pour into my hand using it like a collender to drain the water. I pour the worms between my hand and the cup to remove the dirt.

Ready to feed the fishes. The wet papertowel in the second picture tends to keep the worms in the cap and nice and moist.

Melissa and Sean, I am starting to get all sizes of worms now. Some of them are tiny but have all sizes now.

Yum, yum. I tossed a small earthworm in one of my pairs tanks last weekend expecting the fish to chomp it up. I was rather surprised when the female just sucked down the whole thing. Worms seems like an interesting option, but somehow I just can't imagine my wife letting me raise worms in the house.

Keith, if she is green minding then composting is a great thing. The worms are a side benefit and the discus happen to like them...even better.

We live in Janesville, not Madison! Green is one thing, worms in her house is another. It might have helped had I told her about those last live worms I got from Bill that were in the frig in the salsa jar full of water. Who knew she'd look at that jar hidden on the door.

Nothing, just asked what they were. Followed by are those things alive? It loses a lot without the proper tone though.

Some guys are like that with snakes. I am a little surprised how often a guy will back away when I have a snake.
