First discus was second prize in France Discus Show 2011.
Was first pure wild of the contest... Probably could beat the winner (F1) if adapted as you can see in that picture...
To take out that brilliant red colour needed 2 months after the contest...
Is really difficult to see grate super solid reds in contest because stress makes all these intense tones dissapear...

I feed them just with 2 options everyday... tetra bits and a paste mix (beef heart, fish, seafood, vitamins... etc... you all know all this stuff...)
I try to accustom wilds to eat what I cook for them as soon, so I don´t have to use different frozen commercial foods or alive potential risk food, to be sure they have all necessary nutritive complements.

To show you different source, and different coloration, this one is an wild haraldi Iguarape pearl.
From Alenquer area, an iguarape near Inanu location... South east Lago Grande.
Not that intense colour but for me is a really good quality specimen...

Will the stress bars in these wilds always be predominant? If so, is it because they are now in an aquarium? Not having wilds and then seeing these beautiful specimens, makes me anxious to get mine soon!

The stress bars on my wilds come and go. The majority of the time they don't show their stress bars, but I prefer the stress bar look. When are you getting some wilds?

Same here. Most of the time mine don't show the bars. I actually prefer them w/o the bars. Seems to give them a more "peaceful" look
