Default So went from planted to sand and driftwood

So I was just finishing my new setup on my 110g and looking back at the planted 55 which I liked but it was way too much work, after the change their colors are now really well, no more illness, knock on wood, and they do seem happy, what do you think, I'm now preparing my 55 upstairs to move a few of these guys and I'm probably going to do the same with no plants.

OK, so lets see if I remember, I removed the gravel in about 5 days, then I just poured the sand I didn't really think about it that much, there are 19 discus in here which 7 will be moved to a 55 in the near future, I actually put some slate on the bottom of that floating driftwood which is california grape vine, it's leaching tannins and looking really nice, will post an update once it clears out.

I think that answers the questions that were lost.
