Hi Jeff,
Hope you get things back to normal soon. Always scares me when I see this happen to people makes me want to run out and buy a generator.
Hello Friends,
As some of you know I had some major problems resulting from the storm last wee here in Illinois. I had dead plecos, corys and tetras, and then a major ourbreak of phosphate and algae.
So, after a long decision, I figured that since 80% of my plants had bad algae, I decides to strip the tank down and sadly start over. I lost many plants including a prize amazon sword.
Well, here are the results. I took all the plants out, sifted through 90% or more of the substrate and I sat for over 6 hours hand cleaning plants the best I could to start over. Here are some pictures.
I will do my best to get my tank back in shape as it was, but I am going to be in need of some foreground plants for a discus/planted tank that can handle 85 degrees and 6.5 ph.
Thank you all who gave me their support.
