Assuming your water is perfect; I've never seen one of my fish refuse a worm (live or freeze dried). What temp? What size fish? What size tank? How many fish?
But in general, increasing the temp will increase metabolism.
few days ago i noticed that my discus loose their appetite. consider the water parameters are fine and disease free. i tried beef heart, frozen blood worms, freeze dried black worms, flakes, bits but they eat very less now. WC 30-40% daily. what should i do? thank you in advance.

How long have you had them?

i have 4 in 55g tank, 4.5-5" and i'm still on the hunt for one or two more at the same size coz if i get a smaller one i afraid they will be stunted. the temp is 28 +/- 1. i have a aqua one 300w heater and i switch it on the highest ( 34 c ) but the thermostat shows only 28 c. should i get another heater and increase the temp to 30 or 32? it might be too high though.
My Discus slow down when they reach the 4.5 - 5 inch mark. I still feed frequently but a lot less per feeding. Eventually they'll realize if they don't eat they won't eat. Make sure there's no food left for them to pick up throughout the day.

thanks guys
LOL no offence but "loose" appetite?
hahahahhahahahhahahah Thanks for the correction Walan. makes me laugh hard! Get rid of one of the 'O' and you are on the right track. they are eating fine now, but they eat very slow, takes them 40-60 minutes to finish their meal. Other people discus fight for food but mine dont
Also I have experienced the same with less fish in a tank. I had 8 discus in a 55 which was to many, they ate like piranhas. As I reduced the number of fish in the tank they stopped eating so vigorously. When I got down to 3 in the tank they even wanted to start getting a little skiddish. When I added more fish to the tank they went back to that vigorous eating and acted like they would rather have the company.
