They're doing QT in the BB 180 of domestics...after a spell, they'll be in sand and wood heaven....I'm still toying with the idea of a 1000 or 2 gallon built in in the new fishroom..Still checking large glass panel pricing...
Looks great, Gary. Why not add some sand as substrate?

Very cool, I want a ray really bad, but there a nono in Texas.
Hello - can I ask how rays and Discus get along? Also are they a good option as a clean up - more so than corydora? Your first ray looks so cool. I assume you have to have sand as a substrate and not gravel? Is it possible to have plants in the tank with a ray?
Sorry for the 101 questions
Maria
Hello, I'm fairly new to keeping rays, but I'll answer what I can. Yes, they get along..Rays need peaceful fish for companions, and Discus are about as peaceful as a cichlid can be( with some covenants)...I don't really believe in 'clean up crews', maybe 'clean up after' crews...Humans are the best clean up a fish can have...Rays will eat up most any left over food I feed my fish..at present, they are in a BB tank for QT..They'll end up in a pool sand substrate. Plants are nigh on to impossible with rays due to the constant churning up of the substrate...
