Some of the other tefe's in this tank
Other male
Other females
I have not posted on this thread in a while as this tank has been used as a brooding tank for a Tefe spawn. Removing the fry Monday night left the tank in shambles and I was/am planning a redo of the tanks decor to allow easy subdivision of sure there be another spawn. The fish however are beating me to the punch line...

I just love your group Pat - one of my favorites here at SD!
your fish may not give you time to redecorate

Thanks Trish, the pair did not give me time to redecorate.
This is what the tank looks like at the moment.

well, at least you have that option! even though it's not quite as aesthetically pleasing LOL. must be much easier than having to move a pair to another 'breeder' tank! hope the wee little ones are doing well

With all the breeding happening in this tank the other Tefe's have been maturing.
Here are the other two males and they have really colored up. They are also larger then the breeding male now
And a couple of the other females. I am conditioning them with red wigglers. There are the adults and the other two are sub-adult females
This is actually a pretty little fish when she has her fins all erect, other wise she appears bottom heavy
Here's a better picture (but earlier)
The topmost female is my butt ugly female and she has the most spots. The one below has a more typical green shape.

Believe me Trish, it is butt ugly.
All the spawning in the tank have definitely matured out these two males. Looks like they will even be developing trailers. I have also noticed that the breeding female has grown but the breeding male has not. The female is almost as long as the male. Definitely interesting developments. I thought the females quit or slowed their growth while producing eggs.

Nice looking greens, the males look very nice!
Thanks Eddie, the males have matured out nicely. I do have two more female not pictured who are still sub-adults. There is some potential with them.
