Well it took a lot of google searches to come up with it but I wanted to see something that would clearly show me Cuipeau. I tried pulling up the map that Dale posted about a year and a half ago but while it is a good map it didn't show me what I wanted to see. I need to be able to overlay Dales map over this one, lol.

My 5 Cuipeua's have really made a big change in the last week. As expected the first couple of weeks they really hung to one side of the tank under a big piece of driftwood for protection. They are all over the tank now. The first of last week they started coming out but only following the large Royal. Now they are venturing out on their own some. The big guy still rules the tank though.

Very nice! So they are comfortable now...have a feeling the big royal will always rule the tank, that's one awesome fish!

There's a map in Heiko's Discus Book 01 that shows the entire Alenquer region that I was trying to dig up to do a little research on Curua. I'll have to check after work today if it shows where the Cuipeua is (I know for sure it shows Curua and Lago Grande do Curai).

According to Heiko, royals are the alphas of each discus shoal. Since they're used to do so in nature, they will probably assume the same role of leadership in the tank?

    Any more pictures Larry?

Certainly, I can always add more photos. Here they are 3 weeks in the tank. The smaller Royal finally is showing off a little so more of him then the dominant Royal.

Opps, the glass is still dirty.

Pat, like you have recently posted with your group, each day brings a new look. The solids in particular are really changing.

Thanks Natalia. Yes, these came with Mark's first shipment about a month ago. Same group as Pat's.

No, you didn't miss anything. I'm just getting old and senile. I corrected.

About 6 weeks in the tank now. They don't get bloodworms often but they do love them.

Fish are looking real nice, Larry. However, your fish don't appear to really go after the worms. Are they good eaters? Good luck with them.

I recognize the slow graze. See it in my adults and F1s. Seeing more red in your guys Larry, both the royals and solids. Looking mightly good.

LOL, Yun. You surprised me with your response. The bloodworms are all up against the rear glass. That is why they kept hanging out in the back. You could see the big royal slipping sideways under the wood to get to them.

I'm very pleased with their progress Pat. The big guy is showing well but I'm starting to wonder if the smaller royal will surpass him. He has lots of potential.
