Default 150 gallon salt and how to filter for freshwater

hey there anyone.I just setup a 150 gallon salt tank for my discus. My question is how should I filter it?right now I just put the filter media out of my eheim into the tank in the bottom where the water flows through but it also has another tank underneath that i have to open a valve to let the water into.Is using the media underneath the right way to go?I have 4 reds turqs and they all seem to be fine and growing well.Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.I do plan on adding more fish when I can

Are you saying you converted a 150G to a Freshwater Discus tank? I hope that's waht you mean, because Discus are freshwater...

Sounds like you have a sump. You can use that as your filter.
