Default Live rock mainly fish only.

This is my second love after discus. This tank is 150gallons and is live rock fish and a few softies. I love my tangs and the white tail is close to eight inches.

Nice tank! I've thought about going back to a FOWLR tank at some point now that I have 125G. I've always wanted to keep tangs, but prefer at least a six foot tank for them.

Do you still run a protein skimmer? Sump? What's your set-up?

External filled with live rock ~ sponges love the dark and are great filters! Tmc 400gallon rated skimmer three 6000lph powerheads sixty kilos of live rock and uv. Lighting is just one blue and one white 48"t5. Stick is fish heavy with some ricordea zoas and a bush coral. The tank is 6~2~2 and yes it is very expensive lol! My favourites are bizarrely damsels but i love surgeons and i have four huge convict gobies.

I don't know about that. A dozen quality adult discus in a 125G could cost $1,800. Live rock, and skimmer, some damsels, and a few tangs might be close. It's the cost of reef lighting that kills you and you don't need much on a FOWLR tank.

After 2 years reefing, I would have to agree that lighting is hands down the priciest component for a full-fledged reef with LPS and SPS. Softies are much more forgiving. Livestock wise, discus and reef can be fairly even. You can spend as much as you want

From what little I know they are one of the hardier species of gobies and they max out at around 3". LOL you have now exhausted my knowledge of this type of goby.

I have never seen that kind of goby before, was it a special order?
