you've done a fantastic job raising these Discus! you may consider your 'project' a failure, but to my eye you have produced some lovely fish

These guys are about to be moved in to their own tank as they have paired off. Time to see what the F2's will look like.
Nice job with them Rick!

As luck would have it all but one of the fish I saved from this batch turned out to be male, the one sole female was a solid orange. I have seen this happen several times now with my cross's, the sex's seperating by phenotype (ie all the males in this batch were straited orange on white/ females all solid orange). However, as luck would have it I won a NADA raffle in which the parent fish of the fish were very simular to my parent fish of my f1's. I have just started to work with the two (my male/ female NADA raffle fish): This is their second attempt:
New pair I am working with consisting of one of my F1 cross's and a female pb I won from one of the NADA raffles.
Jim Hall supplied me with pictures of the NADA pb Raffle fish's parents, and you can see why I am enthused to have these fish to work with:
As you can see the two seperate cross's have alot in common and this should be a very compatable cross, allowing both lines to merge and be continued....
This is the pairs second attempt, first time around I screened the eggs and got a few wigglers (20) so they are confirmed. Female is still young, but she seems to be making progress (first batch got eaten when screen was pulled).
I am thinking the ultimate goal will be some nice White butterflies with some orange pattern in the fins.
