Albino San Marah x Snow White

Not alot of photo documentation on these. It was a small batch of about 40 fry that did not attach. Slowly they began to die off when I decided to place the remaining 12 in with a Virgin red x Alenquer pair. Luckily they attached right away (the VR fry were just begining to go free swimming) and I managed to save 10 of them.









Also in the background is a runt from a past cross with a turq x alenquer x, you wouldn't know it but he is over a year old.

I plan on working with these cross's in a few different breeding projects..........

Kind of cool looking I'd say.

Needs a few more generations of refinement, but the original goal was to develope my own non-pb based red white. What would really be cool is to get them to develope a blue halo, like the mystique. I am also going to try to cross them with a mercury, to see if I can retain the coloration of the red/white and also add the blue pepper above the lateral line.

They look like the have a little fine pepper to them. Do you think the albino san merah had some pigeon in her or am I seeing something else?

No, I am quite sure the albino san marah didn't have any pigeon blood in him (or the snow white for that matter). I have also bred the ASM to a virgin red with no pigeon blood based fry so that eleminates hin entirely.

It is not uncommon for a cross such as this to produce offspring with a few odd splotches of color here and there, but this is not "pepper" in the classic sense of the term (ie: pepper being the broken up stress bars from the pigeon blood gene mutation).

The one on the right actually has really good shape, just happened to catch it when it was moving. I plan on line breeding a few of these to clean then up.

I like second picture fish on the middle, snow leopard. I think if you breed him/ her with fish post 9 fish on right you will get some more snow leopard . COOL wish you leave closer

They are the same fish looks like she has been hitting the color flakes a bit too hard.
