Congrats!

Thanks Anik, just going to cross the fingers and see what happens. Problem is I am totally unprepared for fry. May be panicking this weekend if something does happen.
Yun, I have been having several PM and FB chats with Nandi but have not really implemented any his suggestions and why this spawn is a huge surprise.
Your discus are talking to you....are you listening
Very nice pair love your tefes
Let's hope the female will lay eggs more than just the one time. In my experience with young wilds, the female will sometimes lay a clutch of eggs, then not lay again, even with everything exactly the same. I don't really know why this happens. Anyway, congrats!
Darrell
Congrtaz pat! Keep us updated please!
Congratulations Pat!
I looking forward to your updates!
Julian.
Now that's a fine site indeed Pat!!!
Jay,
the reason i like discus?... is discus seem to like me.
Great news..the fish look good!
The meek shall inherit the earth. The oceans are for the brave.
Congratulations Pat. Whether the eggs hatch or not, do not think about moving the pair any time soon. A tank change can mess up any rhythm they might have. Good luck,
Jerry Baer
it's just a box of rain
Congrats Pat. I made it out to Cape to work the launch from last night, only wish I would have had time to have met with you and talk Discus, But must go back home to Calif and keep working my mission there. Maybe another opportunity in the future..

Thanks Gabloo, will do.
Thanks Julian, will do my best but odds are stacked against me.
So agree Jay
Thanks Gary, these two fish are in prime shape.
Thanks Jerry, if I get wigglers from this spawn considering moving them to a dedicated tank as they are in a community tank ATM. Not making any dedications yet however. I suppose if I end up with fry artifically raising or fostering cames to mind.

Congrats Pat, just wanted to share my excitment on your new pairing an spawn. Hope all goes well and that they are a success, knowing you and your lucky streak with wilds it won't be long before we see you in the selling fry area. Again good luck with them and congratulation's...........................Jim in Ohio
They look absolutely stunning! Looking nicely relaxed, seems like papa is guarding the premises and mum's nursing carefully.
With that sort of commotion in the tank I don't think that any of the fry will make it past the wiggler stage, but that's a good start however we look at it. I would let the pair make another one or two attempts, then I would move them into a separate tank, one that shares the water with the main tank. This way you can keep a rock-steady water, that would be hard to maintain in a small breeding tank.
The "thin mix" does magic, innit?
