The season usually ends end of Feb to early March. It all depends on when the rainy season starts.

How does the rainy season impact discus collection?

The rivers flood and the discus are not accessable in quantities.

I see. Do discus migrate from a region to region depending on the season?

+1. As for migration, there isn't any kind of documented mass movement, it's more dependent on the geography. There are times where the flooding may cause the joining of separate fingers of a river or river/lake and allow movement. Other times it's not possible as the flooding doesn't join one body to another body of water.

Year after year the same general varieties can be found in the same locations, so it seems to support theory that discus generally stay in a region and not move far in the rainy season.
