Avoided Disaster

Left some days ago for my 2 weeks annual military training. I was only a couple of hours away from the house, but no time to come home so I had someone feeding the fish for me. I did a large water change before I left on all tanks. All fish are alive thank goodness, but the tank holding my really nice wild Cuipieas was a green mess when I got back. To top it off, aparently I never plugged in my heater after the water change, so the water was freezing for 2 weeks. Whew, could of been a BAD day getting home.

Noticeably stressed and skittish but alive. Just did a big WC and will let them settle. Should be fine.

Discus are a lot tougher than many people think. It wouldn't be unheard of for them to get a bit of ich after such an ordeal. Had it happen from a shipping problem once, so it does happen.
