Default Red wigglers...or nightcrawlers as we call the here!

I was working in my flowerbed today and found several earthworms. I rinsed one off and excitedly tossed it in the tank, waiting for the frenzy and....nothing. Big letdown :-( They kept looking at the top, nobody noticed it. After about two minutes, finally one lone Discus saw it wiggling and poked at it...and it was ON!! Tug of war is putting it lightly. By the 2nd worm, a fight broke out involving pushing and shoving and slapping of bodies. They are a healthy hit! Started my mini compost container. Kids think its cool too.

Red Wigglers are different from Nightcralwers. Red wigglers are smaller, less wiggly and more tender. Night crawlers are larger tougher worms. They're kinda grey in color.
