    Anik,
I don't mind at all. Pentax acquired pics are very welcome!

Nice male anole shot...is that a cuban or the green phased to brown?
What kind of snake is that?
Herons are one my favorite birds.. Out of all of them, I think of the green heron as "The statue Bird" that thing can sit there motionless for hours!

I have lots of homework to do. I have ordered from BH before. I am happy with their service and selection. I also like that Pentax lens, since it says, "water resistant". I am always around humidity here. Many photos are at the rain forests or on water. I guess its a little insurance. I am looking between $400-800. So a 7 year warranty is also good. Why do hobbies have to be so expensive? I am blaming this one on the discus...

The Pentax line made me laugh.
The anole was in my father's backyard in Miami. Soooo, he could actually be Cuban! But I really don't think so.
Cuban Boa. His name is Ricky. Mean sucker. He was checking me out. That was the last photo I got of him before I retreated. He has a reputation and I was in his space. Funny guy.
The herons are great for that reason. They stay still for you. They are very refined and I like to get pictures of them. We have a good variety here.

Great pics Al! Looks like you have above ground mastered, so have you considered underwater photography next?

David, thanks, but thats one Hobby I will not ever take up! If I ever started diving, exploring underwater and taking pictures there, I think I would lose my ever so slight hold of control of my hobbies, and be truly lost...Its tempted me for years...however..I promised myself that theres so much to see and photograph above the water that I will save below it for the next time around.

Get your scuba certification and come to the Florida keys. No place like it and so many photo opportunities. Right up your alley Al.

The anole is a cuban anole BTW.

Really?! Cool. I didn't know they existed there. I was really kidding about it, since every other exotic animal seems to like living in Florida.

Anik, not cool. They will eat the young of your native lizards. I have been seeing the green anole making a come back which make me happy. Now have the cuban tree frogs and they eat the little green tree frogs

Definitely not cool! I had forgotten that very important detail. It is, in fact, quite sad what is happening in Florida. The situation is out of hand. I don't know how anyone can ever get control of it. Florida is becoming quite overwhelmed by all of these introduced animals.

Beautiful photos. Did you have to use a different lens for the close up?

That image was cropped from another photo. The amazing thing is if you look at the eye of the hawk you can see a reflection of my house in it.
