I use the grinder attachment on my daughters Kitchen Aid mixer.
She's not crazy about me using it for fish food but it does a real good job.
its time to make more Beefheart or Seafood Mix..
i used my sister food processor but i was thinking make a meat grinder might do a better job..
what do you use..?!
if you use a grinder.. is a hand crank better then electric..

I use a hand crank Weston Model #10 that I bought at Wal-Mart for < $30. It comes with 3/16" and a 3/8" plates, but I prefer smaller 'chunks' for feeding to juvies, so I purchased a 3mm (1/8') plate from the manufacturer. I make 3 to 5 lbs of mix at a time. However, I only make 2 or 3 batches a year, so using the hand crank isn't too much of a problem. If I had to make a 5 lb batch or more every month, ... LOL! ... or if I was flush with cash, I'd definitely get an electric model.

Never know what people have on their countertops.
I had you pegged all wrong as the Betty Crocker type.

I use a meat grinder for all the meat, fish, shrimp, mussels, clams and then I use a food processor for all the extras (veggies, vitamins, etc)
I think I read in one of Barbs Sticky posts about using a salad shooter.
I am heading to my parents tomorrow to pick up like 15 free beef hearts. I have a Kitchen Aide grinder.

We all judge, it's what we do with our judgements that make us who we are.

It's quick and super easy to clean when you're done.
