Are they eating?
One of my fish has worms white thick stringy poop and is turning dark. Now I have two different kinds of medical flake i have De- Worming flake from angels plus and I also have anti-protozoan flake. I'm currently only doing 50% water changes twice a week i plan on upping that to 4 to 5 times until fish is healthy. now which flake should i try first and how much. if this doesn't work i plan on trying prozipro i have had success with this before.
Are they eating?
yes the sick fish is still eating
Pictures would help. Could be either a bacterial infection, hex, or roundworms. Based on the information you have posted my first GUESS would be roundworms, in which levansol would be your best treatment, followed by a course of kanamycin. This treatment really requires a hospital tank, if you dont have one go purchase a 20 gallon tank.
ok so i read some where on this forum that the dosing for it is 1/2 tps per 20 gals is that correct thanks
Actually no, it is not correct and is based on a miscalculation assuming that the vermisol contained 100% levansol (the active ingredient). Correct dosage would be 2.5 grams per twenty gallons. Mediactions really shouldn't be dosed with teaspoons, get yourself a good milligram scale. They can be purchased on ebay for less than 20 bucks.

For instance, a teaspoon of sugar weighs 4.2 grams, while a teaspoon of cinnamon wieghs only 2.8 grams.....see the problem here?
Rick
I agree with Rick on the scale and the possibilities. I just responded to your PM Matt.
