What is the Ph of your water out of the Tap? Absolutley you need to improve your water quality but, you don't want to stress them with too large a jump in PH. But since you already did a 50% water change you should be pretty close now. You need to get some new test kits if your are over 6 months old and do some actual test so you REALLY know what you parameters are not just that you believe they are good. I'd be willing to bet that even with your water change your Nitrates are over 40ppm. If you have the tank space I'd move all the fish and filters and change all that water and clean that tank. Then fill declor age and heat the water for 24 hours then put the fish and filters back. JMHO

you can do a 25% wc hold the hose as high as you can over the tank or spray it or let it sheet over a plate you want to get the most water to air contact time as you can before it goes into the tank. keep in mind you may have parasites or other issues, but eliminate 1 possibility at a time

    HOLD ON!!

do you have the HOSE end submeresed.. underwater.. or hanging above..

cuz you will get bubbles that way..

also. i suggest you just relax.. and not over think or analyze any little "symtom" you see..

i just let it float on the water surface for the tank and fills the tank straight from the tap but i file out a 5 gallon bucket and mix the prime in it and pure it in the tank and i will start filling up the tank . So what causes the bubbles?

Don't do anything today, just set up your storage water and after 12-24 hours, do a water change and repeat that sequence as often as you desire. Many people try to avoid aging, its a simple surety.

the micro bubbles are from the gasses in the water that are not released due to temp and or pressure, any gasses, chems or toxins in the water attach to the bubbles then the bubbles attach to the gills which could irritate them making them scratch.

Yea I did a 25% water change yesterday and didn't use the discus buffer and i let the water get exposed to air as much as i can so it didn't get the bubbles So what about the fish swimming with on clam and very dark and not eating?
