Pregnant CRS Shrimp! :]

Well guys! I got 3 pregnant girls!

One is an S grade and the others are SS. I even have few SSS grades in my tank as well! I'm pretty excited! This is their first pregnancies so I wouldn't be surprised if they dropped some eggs.

One has been pregnant probably for more than a week.

The other about 3 to 4 days ago and the last one was just discovered today!

Currently right now I have a sponge to cover the intake of my filter.. but I fear that the holes are still too big for when the babies are born.. Anyone got any recommendations on what I could cover it with??

Can't wait to be a new mom! :]

Sponge over the intake is fine. They usually carry the eggs for 30 days. Congrats shrimp are addictive.

If you're worried, remove the filter and just run a sponge filter or two.

very nice would i be able to trouble You for a pic of your shrimp tank i think i want to set 1 up this week i have always liked shrimp and have suscsesfully bred about 1000 or so glass shrimp but there easier time for something different

Actually I do have some pics! I will upload them as soon as I find them in my laptop lol. And wow 1000 shrimp! That's crazy! Haha. I hope I become that successful!! BTW, the pics might be of bad quality as the only camera I have is attached to my phone lol. But better than no pic, huh? =P

If I were to buy now I would probably only buy 5 as they are VERY pricy for my range. Haha.

But they are just so cool looking! I love how their colors just go so great together!

Currently I only have 1 shrimp tank with endlers, threadfin rainbows and CPDs. If anyone is looking for fish mates for a shrimp tank I have not had bad luck with these guys. :]
