Forming the MWDA

I had been kicking this idea around for a while now and i decided to start sending pm's out to the people in the area of which this group would concern. I got about 20 or so people into it and decided at this would be a much easier and faster method to get the word out. I have a few people who i have contacted already and said they are interested and would participate. I understand not everyone will want to do this and the people who do want to do this will not be able to make it to every function. I'm not asking that. I think it would be nice for our region to have a fun group where we can get together every 3-4 months talk fish, hang out and get to know each other better. Please let me know what you think of this. Thank you for your responses and input!

I think it's a good idea. What area would this cover? Iowa is a long ways away from MN to get together that often. Well for me anyway. What did you have in mind to get this rolling?

I would like to include it to everyone in the Midwest. And possibly have different people host the meeting instead of having it in one location making it difficult for some to make. I would like to have a meeting or discussion about what we would like to do and get out of our group. And possibly try to get a list of some fish clubs in this surrounding areas letting them know about our new club. What I would really like to see form would be a solid group of a few people to help plan and organize meetings And events. I wanted to see how many people were interested in something like this to give them a chance uf they wanted to be really involved or just a member. So I'm basically waiting to see what the general interest is for now.

summers suck for me too being a chef in a hotel.....weddings and what not.... but every once in a while i get to have a weekend

I've got at least a half a dozen people who said they'd be interested, I suggested a spring and a fall meeting. Also have one person who's a planner who would make a great chair and organized enough to do NADA in 2016 in Chicago if that's a goal.

Yup every holiday(- Christmas), every weekend, and having two non consecutive days off(but i like that part)
