Dr Foster & Smith are having a good sale on frozen foods and I came upon this. As with most frozen foods, more water than actual food, but this looked interesting with all the different ingredients.
Thanks,

i got it...i posted my feedback under the general dissussion....may be someone would move it......
it got the gel agent which give it the "melt" factor.......some of my discus like it ....... i will take a little longer for all the fish to eat it...... without the gel all the food will be flying around the tank and into the filter......
when you order the shipping is 25 dollars....so try to get it from a LPS or do a group buy
My juvies loved it, but I had to get rid of it as it had bloodworms and I'm allergic. Other than that I would still be using it in my rotation.

16.7% Protein and 81.6% of moisture seems like a waste of money
Wait...this is a frozen food...not a pellet. Wouldn't 15-20% protein be about what a beef heart mix is (on a wet basis)? Ground beef - (92% lean) has 20 grams of protein in 100 gram sample (20%). Just curious....

I do believe it was pkged as Jack Wattleys Discus Formula at one time. Not sure if the sponsorship or the formula or both changed. No first hand but the 'original' product had good reviews. If F & S is hving a fire sale, no harm no foul. "T"

thats right. and fish usually has less. insects about 16%.
beefheart is probably higher, less fat and a different type of muscle. i imagine any figures don't take into account all the trimmings that discus keepers remove. so my guess is that it would be considerable higher. maybe as high as 25%, but that is hjust a guess.
