Thread: GARLIC!

  1. #1

    Default GARLIC!

I used to have phone conversations with Gabriel Posada years ago about this subject and back then it was the hot thing to do. Do you guys believe it has anti pathogenic properties and it actually works or do you think it was an urban legend of sorts? Lets discuss!

I have read lately the garlic juice has to be fresh and at quite high levels. Freeze it and it ruins the positive properties it would have otherwise had. I still toss a half dozen cloves in with every beefheart I make up, but that's either out of habit or because I like Italian.

+1, though Ive read about its ability to boost the natural immune system of the fish, in my eyes I use it simply because the fish love it and if it helps then great!!

I remember Jack Wattley used the garlic on his frogs first then used it on his Discus.

I knew Jack was into frogs but i never knew he did that. Pretty cool! Jack really loved his frogs! He had some very rare and expensive ones. Alot of them were very deadly. I always wondered about that since he lived in Florida and if those ever got out alot of them would thrive really well. Im guessing over the years there have been poison arrow frogs that have been released down there in some places. I hope Jack didn't release any frogs like he released some of those domestic discus down in the amazon! I think they were brilliant turquoise.
