Recipe for disaster, only 3 fish, and FROM the lfs.
I was at my LFS in town today picking up some sponge filters and I walked past their discus tank and they had just got a shipment in and it had three 1.5-2 inchers in their. I felt bad for them so I picked them up. Two blue diamonds and a blue turk I think. Like I said I'm a sucker. That being said it made me paint a tank move it to a stand and move two to join that one atop of the stand. One step closer to the fish room being a little more complete.

How much did they cost at a LFS?

$35. I know its a recipe for disaster! I have them in a grow out tank now. Shouldn't take long for them to catch up to the rest......I hope lol
Feed them often and do a lot of water changes and maybe they will.... Just make sure and keep them away from any existing stock for at least 6-8 weeks.

I plan on doing at least 80% a day. Should I hatch bbs for them do u think?
Nah, that size they should be on flakes and starting a normal diet.
LFS discus, ouch.
Here we go again, someone buys fish from a store so they must be sick and crappy, what a downer.
Good luck Brandon! My Discus from the LFS came from Hans and have been great, they are healthy and growing like crazy!!

I don't see nothing wrong with buying fish from the LFS only if that store knows what they are doing with Discus and the price is right (not over price like some store do).

I avoid lfs only because i know what they may carry but.... that fish in my avatar was from a lfs and out lived any other discus I ever had. around 7 years. many of the tetras I had, some for 3 - 4 years were all from lfs. you need to check them over and everything else in the store too.
I would treat them with a couple rounds of quick cure.
